Cereal Box to Houses

I got this idea from this web site about 6 months ago and have been saving cereal boxes since. I finally started cutting them out and putting them together I think they have come out so cute. You can go here or here if you'd like to start making your own and of course you can always Google it. I'm hoping that I'll have enough come Christmas time to give away. I'd like to have a whole village of these little guys I love them.

Challenge!!

Thought I'd throw this out there, I read the book One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp which I highly recommend. Here is the challenge, with this New Year starting start writing down a thousand things your thankful for and try to make them different. You could write down family a thousand times but then you'd miss the point, the point being to see the small little things and find the joy in them. It's OK to put somethings down more than once believe me I have put down rain and gray skies more than once they are so few here. I'm about a third of the way done it's taken a few months but I'm looking for the rest of my gifts. K saw me writing in my gift book and wanted to write some gifts so I got her, her own gifts book now when she comes over I ask her what she's thankful for so I can write it for her. Just think if she gets in the habit now when she's older she'll be doing it. I wonder what she'll think of her book when she's older. Give it a try and let me know how it's going.

Gift Giving and the Holidays

The other day Valondra, the girls and I were at Walmart we walked down the toy section I was looking for a baby doll for the girls. K got all excited and keep saying mine mine. And I will say here and now the toys did look pretty and shiny. With all K's excitement it made me wonder should I be buying her more fancy toys (made in China) instead of making her toys or just have the toys that were her Mom's and Uncle Jim's. After we got home I watched the girls closely to see if they were missing something by not having those fancy toys.

As you can see I don't think they are missing anything K seem very content to play with junk mail magnets siting in my coffee table that doubles as her toy box. But I still wonder in the back of my mind when I see her cousins who have every fancy toy and techno gizmo you could think of. I so want the girls to enjoy the simpler things in life. By the way I didn't find a baby doll most are alittle odd looking and do to many things not leaving much for the imagination. I really want to get the girls a Waldorf doll but that's more than my budget can afford. If anyone out there in blogland knows of a good pattern or knows how to make them and would like to make one with me I'd love to hear from you.
My advice to all you is take it easy, keep it simple, don't stress out this holiday make something to give the girls love the hats I make them every year. Hope you all have a good day.

Snowball Fight Kit Pattern

For those of you who like a good snowball fight and just don't get snow or if it's just to cold out, now you have a pattern for you to enjoy snowball fights indoors.

This is my idea but the patterns not mine can anyone really claim a ball or a yo-yo pattern. All I did was add my own twist. Make a bunch and have a great snowball fight. You can use my idea just don’t sell it that’s just not right. This is my first time writing out a pattern if you find any mistakes please let me know thanks.

SNOWBALL PATTERN
You will be working in spiral rounds (Amigurumi fashion)
Round1. Make magic ring and 6sc in ring (6)
Round2. 2sc in each st around (12)
Round3. *Sc in next st, 2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (18)
Round4. *Sc in next 2 st,2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (24)
Round5. *Sc in next 3 st,2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (30)
Round6-10 Sc in each st around
Round11. *sc in each of next 3 st,dec 1* and repeat from * around (24)
Round12. *sc in each of next 2 st,dec 1* and repeat from * around (18)
Round13. *sc in next st,dec 1* and repeat from * around (12)
Round 14. dec until you have (6) leave long tail for sewing closed
Stuff frimly, sew closed

SNOWFLAKE NINJA STAR
Make 2 for 1 Star
Round1. Make magic ring and 12 dc join at the top of first dc
Round2. ch 3, dc in joining, 2 dc in each st around join, finish off (24)

Assemble the star, wrong sides together, start in any st, *sc through both, ch 3 sl st in the top of sc, sc in same st, ch 1 sk next st*, repeat from* around join and finish off weave in all tails.

Confused or Not?????

About once or twice a month K and I make cookies since I made her, her kitchen helper it has made helping me alot easy. Here is the confusing part I can't think which part is my favorite part of making cookies. Is it all the fun putting things together, eating cookies dough, watching it bake, or sitting eating cookies from the last batch read the bible, I think I'll choose the WHOLE day with my girl. It was alot of fun.

I have been trying to get Wate to make these bean bag toss for 30 years I wanted our kids to have them when they were growing but that never happen. I was determined to have them for the grand kids. At the beginning of the year I made up my mind not to wait for Wate to do it or to do any kind of wood work for me I would learn to do it myself I think they came out wonderful and so far K loves them. I have made a few things out of wood it's so funny when people see them they say WOW Wate that's really neat when I tell them he didn't make it I
did they get real quite and don't seem to know what to say like some how a women shouldn't be doing this. What can I say I'm a BIG fan of Ana White I have learned so much from her and have a long list of thing to make I' hoping to get K's kitchen cut out before the new year.

While visiting my in laws awhile back my MIL and I were talking while Wate and his Dad were working on their computer so that they could get on the Internet. I was telling Milly how wonderful the Internet is all the things it has to offer so many things to learn. That was a whole world out there and that she didn't need to just sit around and watch TV. She told me that she was 76 and just to old to learn anything new shocked that anyone would every say such a thing I told her she was never to old to learn thinking that she just need some encouragement that she wasn't to old. She went on to say that since all her sibling that have died around the age of 86 she only had that long and that she just wasn't interested. I said well if your not interested that's one thing but your never to old. She said that I don't understand cause I'm still young (who thought 50 as young) that when I get to be her age I'd understand. I asked her who said that when you get to be 76 you can't do anything that I have known people who have done more things in their later years than they every did before, why did she think life was over. She just kept repeating I'd understand when I was her age. I finally told her I never wanted to be her age in her mind she was to old in my mind I'm still in my 20's. If George Bush Sr. can jump out of a plane at 85 why can't I.
I never want to be so old I feel I can't learn something new, my grandma was in her 90's when she pasted and she always told me "I can always learn something and want to Holly you are more in the world tell what you have learned so that I may know it too." That's the person I want to be, always learning new things until I leave this world. I want to be able to talk with my grand kids about the things they want. To keep up with technology my 2 year old grand daughter knows more about how things works than my kids did at her age. Imagine what she will know at 10, I want to be able to touch her and her world.
So my friends am I just crazy is Milly right that life is over at 76? I really don't want to live like that, I want to dance in the rain, get a rush from a thunderstorm, share a lightning storm with my grand kids, ride on the back of Wate's bike. Be it now or 100 years from now.

I have been using this program for years. Well can you believe it Ann finally made it into the world. Poor Valondra she has been in labor on and off for 3 weeks. Ann couldn't make up her mind. I think we found out why her cord was wrapped funny and keep getting in the way. Now that she's here it's like life can get back to normal. K is going to be a good big sister the nurse came in to check Ann and K freaked out screaming and reaching for Ann. The looks K gave the nurse were death rays. No one can touch her who isn't family.

6 Months and Counting

Well can you believe it. It's been 6 months without cable and I don't miss paying for something I can get for free. You gotta love the internet I don't think there isn't anything I can't watch. I get my Fox news I have 5 places I can watch. Wate and I are star trek fans and we are now watching Voyager. We also got to watch the super bowl on the net. Some the places we watch are from other countries which makes for some fun watching their commercials are a laugh to bad I don't understand them. I just need now how to get my laptop connected to my TV I think I need the box hopefully when we get our tax return I'll be able to get it. I know that will make watching alot easier. I really do love not having cable I never thought I'd say that but it's true. Wate is still getting use to quiet he feels that something has to be going on even if we're not watching it. I don't understand that I like it gives me time to think and reflect which is something I think everyone should do from time to time. I think it helps you grow as a person. Maybe more people in this country should unplug they just might learn something about themselves (maybe that's why they don't cause they are afraid of what they will learn).

My friend Mary passed away this morning how appropriate that it happen this weekend during New Moon it's new beginning for her. She taught me about the love a grandma has for her grand kids that it is beyond even what you have for your own kids and she was right. Last weekend we had our last snow in the high country. Valondra and I took K up to see the snow we had a great day K didn't know what to do with all this white stuff it's her first time seeing it. I so wished we lived someplace where it snowed so she could have it every day in the winter. She had fun cleaning the snow away the same way she does dirt or water hope she doesn't turn out to be a clean freak. Snowball Fight & A Giveaway CLOSED

I know for the most part my beloved winter is over so I thought I'd have one last snowball fight with all of you out there. Here is what I made an in door snowball fight kit. I comes with it's own bag 10 snowballs and 10 ninja-flakes. I have a basket full of the flakes and believe me they came in handy when you want to get someone attention, we even we gang up and just bombard the chosen victim. I made this up for those who like a good snowball fight but don't like the cold or in my case it's to hot to have snow. Snow, Ice, Just Cold

I have been reading so many blogs bragging about all the snow and for me the wonderful weather. I so miss the snow and being snowed in for days that's when I'm the most creative. I was out front wishing it would snow here in the desert and looked down in my sadness. Then I saw a little joy I jumped with that joy, did a snoopy dance, ran and got the camera before my little icicle melted. This is our hose it's not connected and I didn't even know there was water in it. He is so tiny and may not look like much to the rest of you, to me he is wonderful. I love my little icicle. So here's to all those in blogland enjoy your WONDERFUL weather, go out and have fun or stay home and create something, that what I'm doing my sewing room is calling and I have some aprons and bags that need to be sewn up.

Here is our mail box from our house, Yes it's nice and close but that doesn't mean anything when you can't get into it right now I have a package that is being held hostage. Here is a close up in one of those bigger ones is where my package is. They (the post office) give you a key to open it, the bad thing is I spent 30 min trying to open it and nothing it just won't turn. Last time this happen I cut my finger trying to open this dumb box and still didn't get it open. I really HATE these things.I remember when they first started putting these things into communities they said it was a good thing to help build a sense of community cause everyone will be getting their the same place. That's a laugh I have lived here for almost 3 years and still don't know my neighbors.
They build these stupid things cause they became lazy. I remember when the mailman would park his truck and walk house to house to deliver the mail. I knew who my mailman was I knew his name and that he liked chocolate chip cookie which I would try to make for him once in awhile. I so want to have a mail box at my house.
Oh well hopefully tomorrow my package will be released from being a hostage let's hope it doesn't have Stockholm syndrome the post office doesn't need any sympathy.

This year has started out better than most. I feel better more motivated than I have in years it's amazing what an air filter and melatonin will do for you. I'm even more determined to get over my fear of power tools. There are so many things I want to make from Ana-White and other bloggers that I've seen. Winter Love

As the first day of winter starts it's my time to reflect on the past year and to look forward to the next. Looking back on this past year I didn't get half of what I wanted to do done. That leaves me alittle discouraged. This pasted year has been hard some days I couldn't even get motivated to get out of bed. I have taken steps to better my health which so far seem to be helping. There was so much more I wanted to this past year and at times feel like such a failure. It feels at times I've let down everyone. As I look forward to the new year I'm filled with some hope. A new grand daughter, more ideas of things I'd like to make, so many new things I want to try and become a part of, and I'm sure there will be less time to do them all. But I know I will feel better about not getting it all done and work to live in the now and be ok with that. I'm found this video with winter on it I love these kind of videos and have a few myself. I LOVE WINTER the one day I'm truly alive with the longest night. Hope all of you out there have a wonderful day/night I know I will.

A Girl And Her Truck

When our kids were no bigger than K is now we bought them trucks this is the only one that's left. Wate wanted me to get rid of them long ago but I said no someday our grand kids will play with it I have a bunch of toys from when our kids were small. I have hauled this across the country and keep stored in boxes for years. I'm so glad I didn't listen to Wate, K has so much fun with it all.

The other day I was doing my grocery shopping at walmart it's one of two stores here. I needed some Christmas lights for one of my cubbies as I was walking around the Christmas stuff I noticed something all the decoration all looked the same just different colors and some I could swear I saw last year. Some of it was pretty in that mass production kind of way. But for me most of it wasn't even pretty just mass produced. I thought do we really need more of this kind of STUFF. And to top it all off I couldn't find one thing that wasn't made in china. I try to buy as much as can of stuff made in USA but it is getting harder every day, even some of the food that I buy is from some place else. I don't like it but want can I do, I do with out on some things and bit the bullet on others. I can remember growing up and most of what we bought was made in USA now most of what we buy is made some place else.
So in order to for me to be even more conscience about where my money goes I will do without more, china doesn't need any more of my money we as a nation already owe them more than we should. I will be buying more on line from US companies and more hand made as well as buying slave-free products. My son J bought my a lovely apron from Sak Saum and would love to get another I just need to find out how.
Do I make a pledge to buy handmade I would but there are some things that aren't handmade like books, the new TV I'm hopeing to get next year. So is there a happy medium I hope so I think for me right now it's just to be more aware.

Happy Hanukkah!!!
This is my favorite holiday. I just finish my menorah today just in time for sun down I think it came out great. Don't you just love Mod-Podge. Yes thats K peeking around the curtain to see the menorah it's her 2nd Hanukkah she doesn't know it yet but she's getting blocks that I'm making for her. My kids are getting a CD I'm burning of songs from when they were kids. Hope they like them.

Tea Time

Well I finally got my serving trays done. This is a fun way to reuse those old cookie sheets you would throw out. All you have to do is sand off any rust and the coating, paint with primer then spray paint any color you want. I also used my cricut and mod podge and of course glitter to decorate the way I wanted then I sprayed a coat to seal it. I think for my next cookie sheet I'm going to chalk board it and hang it up. I think they came out great. I'm going to be giving away the smaller one in a give away I'm having in the next few days so stay tuned.

Cable

We have pretty much always had cable or at least access to the regular TV station. For the past few months I have been thinking about having our cable cut off most of the shows we watch we own or want to buy (they are on our list). We have figured it out that with the money we would spent on cable we can get all the shows we want, and I did some looking on line and alot of stations steam live on the net for free so we will still get out news. I'm going to get a cable so I can hook up my lap top to the TV so I can watch news on a bigger screen. After all the research I've done about living without cable I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. The money we could have saved. So as you may have guessed we no longer have cable. The real funny thing when I called to have it shut off the cable company tried to keep me an acted like there was something wrong with me no longer wanting cable.
Another reason I wanted to get rid of cable is as I get older I'm finding that it's to big of a distraction. There is so much more I want to do and learn and it just seems foolish for us to pay so money for the few shows or movies we would watch, not when you can buy them for alot cheaper. I truly am looking forward to life without cable. Imagine what I will create or learn.
If anyone out there is living a life without cable or TV I'd love to hear from you. I want to hear your pro's and con's. How has it changed your family?

Can you believe it this guy was sitting next to my fire pit when I walked outside. Then he just started crawling around like he owned the place. I think it's a Coachwhip I wish he'd go away. I'm hopeing the cats will take care of it. But they are afraid of the frogs. I don't want to even go outside. Life in the desert is ssssoooo much fun.

Camping!!!!!!!

Well boy did we have fun I made a slide show of our trip. We pretty much dry camped even though we did have power which I'm grateful we did, it got down in the 40's so we did have heat. We were going to Sedona but there was no place open and the traffic was unbelievable we couldn't even get into town. So we went up Flag and stayed at Camp Navajo it's a National Guard base. We meet alot of nice people retired military. Some of them stay up there for months at a time which I could go for. If Wate could get Internet we would stay longer he has on line school so we had to come home. We went hiking to the ice caves that was fun and so cold I could feel it at the entrance I stayed with the dog thank God I didn't have to go in I saw Decent no way I'm going down in a hole. I put a link for those who want to know more about our ice caves. Now for the funniest thing ever our dog has Paruresis can you believe it. For those who don't know what that it is it's also called shy bladder or fear of public restrooms in Maxs case it's fear of doing his business in the woods. I have never seen a dog hold as long as he did we thought for sure he was going to hold it until we got home. It was the funniest thing to watch he just did not want to do his thing in the woods. We are hopeing to go camping again real soon I want to go for my birthday in mid Oct. Maybe this time we will make it to Sedona.

Can you guess what we are getting ready to do. You guessed it camping. I love camping this time of year it's so much cooler up north. I can hardly wait I think we'll go up to Sedona and do some hiking in the red rocks. Who knows what we will find on our walk. I want to find a good walking stick so I can make a talking stick it will be fun. It will be Maxs first time hope he does well. I will be taking tons of pics to show you all just how

on having a place to hook up we could go any place. The only thing that I really want when we camp is a bathroom. Going in the bushes is not really something I'm into.

Frogs

You may be thinking what does she know about frogs living in the desert. Well I'm here to tell we have lots of frogs they live in the ground and dig their way out when it rains I have holes like this all over my yard. I'm afraid to walk out there, fear I'll fall in and no one will find me =). The first year we lived here is was like the biblical plaque with frogs I had never seen so many. They get into everything I have seen them eating the cat food, or just hanging out in the cats water bowl like it was some spa of theirs. And boy can they get big 3 to 4 lbs. I think my cats are afraid of them. The noise they make is unreal it sounds like cats in heat drives me batty. Since they only come out at night I haven't been able to get a picture of them. Maybe someday I will finally get a shot at getting one.

Well i do believe I have finally found something I really want to do for Rosh Chodesh (New Moon) I'm working out my own tea ceremony hopefully in Oct I will be having my first one. Until I get the cups and teapot I want I just use what I have If you all want to see the cups I want you can check them out on my Amazon widget on my side bar I think they are the cutest. The Aluminum Tumblers I want to get for summer for ice tea my grandma had some when I was a kid and I love them. Let me know what you all think of the tea cups.

Annual Training

I know it's been awhile busy busy that's me. While Wate was at his AT (annual training) I was busy doing the things that needed to get done. This year it was cleaning carpets, I painted our island chalk board, did some mod-podge, made a ketubah for our anniversary, then finally use my cricut and if you don't have one you need to get one. I have found some cheap ways to use my cricut to resticky your cutting mat just take a glue stick and rub the entire surface let it dry and it's done and ready to go again. For some cheap vinyl to do all that fancy stuff like I did in my slide show I used contact paper I bought a roll of white cut it to fit in the cricut then painted it the color I wanted and it came out great. I can hardly wait to get my SCAL so I can do even more. The possibilities are endless. Wish I could get it now hopefully I'll be able to get it before Dec.

Well can you believe it my grand baby will be a year old on Sat. The time just flew by it seems like yesterday Valondra was telling me she was pregnant. K has grown so much and her personality is adventurous there isn't much she is afraid of. Loves to be outside in the dirt she always giving us rocks that she finds. Valondra calls her the rock relocater. She loves sharing crackers and yogurt with her grand pa. She will share food with Max (the dog) it's funny to watch she takes a bite then gives the rest to Max. She just learned to dive Max his dog bones the first time she did she wanted to take her share first it was to funny glad we stopped her now but I'm sure there will come a time when she will try it. Fathers Day PT2

You are not going to believe this all weekend long I keep thinking that Fathers day was last Sunday. After we get home from our big weekend we find out that Fathers day is next Sunday. We are going on a marriage retreat next weekend so I guess it was good that we got mixed up. We had a really good time at the gardens I can't believe how much fun we had, we could have stayed longer but they were closing, 2 hours just isn't enough time. I have a nice weekend planned. Since Wate loves to go and do I thought we'd go and do something but since I hate the heat it was hard to find something. Here is what I found Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden flashlight tour, it's a night walk through the garden and seeing the flowers that only bloom at night. You can check it out here. It should be a lot of fun night time for me and adventure for Wate. We are staying in town and eating out. I'm really looking forward to it. I'll try to take pic but can't promise how good they'd be night time you know I will take some before the sun goes down. I'm so excited hope he has fun to. SAD

Well my summer sad is in full swing. I'm feeling like crap and with other stresses in my life right believe me this doesn't help. I will most likely be like this for the next 6 months. But winters here aren't much they are still warm. The battles have started I pull the black out curtain close and Wate opens them, I turn the air as low as I can get away with, fans on high, and guess who gets cold you guessed it Wate and he goes and turns them off. All the while I'm sitting here with sweat pouring off me. My ice packs are at the ready and have already started using them. My Christmas music is on all the time and I'm looking to get more for my stupid mp3 player. I'll be playing my winter DVD's and any holiday movie I can find soon. Why does the sun have to scream at me the way it does. I live for the night the cool darkness and the bright stars. Valondra and I are planning to do something fun for the winter solstice our favorite day the first day of winter. Maybe we should do something for the summer solstice are at least the day after, the day when the darkness starts to come back. I don't know cause I really hate the summer. I guess we'll see how hot it is at the time. Now it's time to go get a ice pack.

I'm a little pissed today. I HATE MY MP3 PLAYER. For all you out there that may be thinking I need a new one stay away from RCA OPAL. Mine keeps freezing up on me and the only way to shut it down is with a shock thank God my couch has plenty of that. I've tried to get help with it and all I get is nothing. I do all the things they told and it still does it. Next time I will spend the extra money and get a better one. What good it a player with all this wonderful memory if it only plays the same songs. I had a WALKMAN and I loved it, but I upgraded to one with more memory should have stuck with a brand I really liked. Now I need to look and find something that has 8 or more GB. So if any of you all know of a good brand please let me know. AAARRRGGGHHH you not going to believe this it just did it to me again while I was writing this. I can't win with this thing. Well wish me luck on my hunt for a new one.

Were does it go I had so many plans for this weekend. I wanted to get more done than I have. This is my weekend to do whatever. So many things are just not working my way. Did that ever happen to you, you plan and nothing goes right. I have even been lazy with my blog I'm working on two just haven't finished them. But you know what really sucks is that has been going on for a few weeks ever since the trial. I don't know but I better get out of this slump soon or I'm going to go nutso. Here is what I did get done. Melted some records got the idea from Homemade Mamas only thing is she said 8-10 mins I'm thinking my oven runs hotter cause I left it in 3 min and that was just right.

Then I made a drying rack for my Mod Pogde lanterns I have more glass jars than I can ever use. We'll see what we can do with them who know maybe they will make good gift what do you think Val?

OK I have a confession I have broke the law, copyright law that is. Yes I have infringed. I have been a busy little girl. I made a video put it on YouTube so my family and friends could see and my music was blocked. I took it down cause it's just not fun without the music. Some on YouTube said we should keep our blocked videos up as a shame on WMG since they are the ones who don't want you to use their music. So this is what I have done. I have been playing my music loud so that others can hear, I have been listening to music with friends that I bought for me. And believe it or not that is a violation of copyright. I have always paid for my music or got it free from some promotional things. I never did files sharing with music, but I will tell you the way WMG is acting I don't know. I think that this decision will come back to bite them in the butt. I know I will think twice before buying a song that is WMG. It's sad that this is the way it is WMG needs to wake up and get with it things change. I can understand if I was making money on an add or something, but I'm just a Mom trying to enhance my family videos, I guess I'll just have to send my family the video I made but even that is a violation. I guess they will do what they feel they have to.
Guess what else I did I bought some movies and had some friends over and we watched them. I also borrowed some movies from a friend that I plan on watching. I've been a bad girl. I copied some crochet patterns without permission (it's easier to read them on paper than the computer). I'm copying some recipes as well. I guess I'm really bad maybe I should hang my head in shame.

Well I'm done we came to a verdict on Fri. The case was a 1st degree murder case, and the defendant was found guilty.
I will tell you this has been a wonderful experience. To see the process from beginning to end has been great and if any of you get the chance to serve do so without complaint and it will go better for you. Now when I say wonderful that's not to say that it was happy go lucky, it wasn't, what I mean is that the growth and experience was wonderful. It wasn't easy finding someone guilty of murder. But the evidence pointed to only one person. The growth I have experienced was amazing maybe that's why I feel so emotionally drained. A lot of growing in a short period of time. One of the things I learned is I'm truly blessed. I have a lot to be thankful for. My relationship may be few but they are deep and true. My life may not be as full as some think it should be but it's honest. I'm very grateful for this experience and will never forget it. I guess in some way I owe the defendant a thank you for helping me see how truly wonderful my life is. I guess like the old saying goes "there but for the grace of God, go I". I think I will be living my life a little different I hope that it sticks. If any of you have questions about the trial just ask.
Now I can get back to my blog, giving toys, crocheting, sewing, taking pictures, I hope to get caught up this week. Thanks to all of you out there. I love you all.

I'm not one of those green people that gets all bent if you don't recycle or that man is to blame for the earths woe's. I use my bags when I do my grocery shopping. As you can see some I've bought others I've made. I really do like using them I have more than enough bags. In fact cashiers have told me that they have never seen anyone who had enough for all their groceries. While checking out today at Wal-Mart I was told by the cashier that Wal-Mart was thinking about starting to charge for their plastic bags 15 cents a bag can you believe that. I guess I will be making sure I always take my bags even if I just keep one or two in the car at all times. To bad they don't pay me for bringing my own bags. Until Later

Weekend in the closet

Here is my closet. I love this room and could stay in there for days and I have. This past weekend Wate had duty so I got to do whatever. I'm working a bean bag cover. I have a old feather mattress that I have been wanting to making into a bean bag. I think I may need to spend some time organizing the closet my yarn is all over the place. I think I may need more selves what do you think?
Is there a room in your house that you just love? This is mine I just love being in here and would spend more time in there but Wate doesn't like me to he wants me in the living room. I don't understand him sometimes. Well any way I hope you all had a great weekend I know I did.

Growing old

The other day Valondra (my daughter) asked "Mom what does it mean to grow old gracefully" I must not be doing it right if she had to ask. I had to say I'm not really sure and it got me to thinking what does it mean. I'll be 50 next year WOW I can't believe that I don't feel 50 even V said she doesn't see me that old it's like I froze in my early 40's. I know I don't want to be like my grandma's they just seemed old so does my mom and mom-in-law. Am I destined to follow the women I know, just become old, wear lots of polyester, and what I call granny panties. Could I really live not wearing my hip hugging flare jeans and my tank tops. And lets not forget bra free which I haven't worn since high school. I love going around in flip flops or no shoes at all, all my sock have holes and I don't care. Of all the things I read about growing old with grace it all speaks of growing older, wiser, still living, having fun running, jumping, playing. We do not quit playing because we grow old. We grow old because we quit playing. Benjamin Franklin. Could Ben be wrong I'd like to think not. So this is me not living to get old but to get older wearing my jeans, tank tops, bra free, bear feet, chasing my grand babies and in 20 some odd years chasing my great grand babies. I want to be the cool grandma the one that doesn't really fit in the mold. So I think with all being said I am growing older with grace, but getting old I will fight kicking and screaming. Now I have to go dye my hair you know it's part of the whole kicking and screaming thing.

Chino Bandido

I know that most you have no clue what a Chino Bandido is, but let me tell you, if your in AZ you should. Here's a hint: 19th ave and Greenway rd is one; the other and newest one is at Chandler Blvd. and Dobson. These are the only places I know where you can see a Mexican Panda and get the best food in the world if your looking for chinican (clash of Mexican and Chinese). The Jerk Chicken and fried rice can you say YUM. They have also been on Dinner and Dive on the Food network. With every meal you always get a cookie and it's just more YUM. And Every other weekend they give you a different cookie called and Volcano Cookie and that's an even bigger
YUM!! We had a really good day even K ate
she likes black beans. I love being with my two
favorite girls.

My daughter and I took K to the eye DR. today at the AZ Pediatric Eye Specialist. So I thought what better place to drop a toy or two. But there were a lot of people there so being stealth was not going to happen. Our snow trip

Today my hub got what he wants, to go and do we took the dog and headed up north to Globe a small mining town. We went looking for snow and it was great even with the dog getting sick poor Max he's not use to car rides. As soon as we got home I uploaded all the pic and made a short video and put it on my youtube. So here was our day.

I have a long list of things for me to make and don't know which one I will work on but I have a few days to figure it out. OH what to do if I didn't have to sleep I could get so much more done.

Don't you just love this. I love being able to hide my gray that I started getting when I was 20. My heart goes out to all the women that came before this invention would they love it or think me vain for loving it. I don't care I'll be vain as long as I can have my color.

I've been missing my baby I haven't been able to see my grand baby in a week I've been sick. I tell you I don't know how others do it. It's killing me not seeing her for a week how do others not see their grand babies for months. These pic are of the last day I saw her we had made a trip to the post office and had to pull over so her Mom could feed her this is her full, happy out of her car seat pretending she's on the road. She's really practicing for the day we run away to Montana to go see Terah and Jake, Cher and Pat, and all the kids.

Just wondering

I was just wondering when does a untruth become a lie. When someone tells you an untruth what does that make them. Are they an untruth teller or a liar. Just wondering why it's wrong to call someone a liar. What's worst a liar or a deceiver. Just wondering.
